Max Moreno - Five Minutes From Home

A posthumous release originally recorded in 2016 with Charlie Vela. After the passing of Max “Costello” Moreno, this EP was uploaded to raise funds for his family’s medical and funeral expenses (purchase below, or donate directly here.) In a music career that spanned over 10 years, this previously unreleased material is some of his finest work. His presence in the community and his friendship with countless people will be missed, and it’s his absence that makes this record hit even harder. “Before we go let’s dance another. Let’s remind ourselves we need each other. Life is short and that’s just the way it goes.”

Fronterawave - Tonight, in the Valley

The breezy spectral soundscapes and analog hiss of Fronterawave is the perfect soundtrack for a blooper reel of RGV news broadcasts from decades past. There’s something profound about basking in our collective cultural memories.

Milagros - Da Di Da

All Milagros needs is a camera and some loose choreography to spark a spectacle of fun while showing some love for downtown McAllen.

Valley Swerve - Long Drop

Valley Swerve releases another trillwave earworm, this time taking a deep dive into Clams Casino territory. Melodic fills, atmospheric bloom, and a commanding drum beat create gorgeous moods and imagery to add to his impressive string of singles.

When it comes to local rap collective TAO, it’s Roll$ who usually stands out the most with his booming voice, but recently, G-Knowledge has been making a name for himself with a barrage of singles and albums that showcase his own aggressive delivery, clever zingers, and rapid-fire stamina.

PurpleVillain x Evolve — Man-made mess

PurpleVillian’s walking-pace beats and ambient backdrops form a canvas for Evolve to meditate on despondent themes, from self-reflection to misanthropy, in his point-blank raps.
