Coming from the weird side of SoundCloud, Jacob Jenni resurfaces with his most accessible song yet. A candid version of Beatles pop-rock meets the deceptively joyful strums and claps of Hey Ya. As a song about having a bleak outlook on the present and future, it seems to be about the current quarantine, but was actually written before it.

“I wrote the first verse way before this virus thing became a big deal, but as that all became more present, the context changed into something I think at this moment people can really relate to,” says Jacob Jenni. With this single, his upcoming album “two thousand jenni” is looking to be a great addition to his multifaceted discography.

i know ur sad, but get over it tens of people died right now while I just took a shit and the way that its all going, youd think id be used to it but oh no, not one bit... i know ur mad, but get into it everyone is having fun while youre stuck in a ditch and the way that its all going, youd think Id be used to it but oh no, not one bit... ive seen them crash, ive seen them burn and now i dont ask "whens my turn?" i like to be surprised and ill take anything at all because its been too damn long. and im not really sleeping, cos every time i dream, im not likin what im seeing if you think this is it, just wait one more day,baby.. before i just swallow my pride (guitar solo) throughout the sunny days, ive yet to see your lips go wrapping 'round your head with laughter leaking through and now id rather have it any other way because i had some things i really wanna do i dont mind, i want to bring you too dont know why, think itll be fun.. I like to think that I buried all of the skeletons round me but I dont blame a soul for keeping them and swallowing the key are you sad, baby? well, whats that got to do with me? .....aaand stop.
