One of the most interesting soundscapes to come out of the RGV this year- strolling boom-bap, jazzy piano chords, lilting radiant synths - and with DudeRam’s surreal raps, it is quite the serene headspace to get into.
Jacob Jenni - War
Jacob Jenni’s lo-fi riffs and slurred crooning complement this daring music video exploring desolate locations and disturbing military commemorations.
Italia - Puro 956 (Kumbia 956)
Soft-voiced Italia is known for her introverted pop songs, but she can also be a captivating MC strong enough to represent an entire region (as she already did on TV). With irresistible cumbia blaring out behind her, this song has quickly become a beloved local anthem.

Jay Barr’s project is a visual one as much as it is musical. His latest video features brooding walks in lonely cityscapes to emphasize his tender baritone and gloomy minimalism.
